Tai Chi is a Chinese Martial Art that when incorporated into an exercise program can improve a patient’s range of motion, balance, and stress level. Practicing Tai Chi has also been associated with a number of additional health benefits. Tai Chi consists of a series of slow-paced, controlled, low-impact movements involving shifting the body’s weight and extension and retraction of the extremities. Classes can be designed specifically for Parkinson’s patients. PREF is currently offering Tai Chi classes regularly. Please contact us for more information.
